Help Us Spread the Word
Do you have a Web site, a Facebook page, a Twitter account? If so, connect to the Foundation and help your friends do the same! Our goal is to spread the word that the Foundation’s mission to solve homelessness is one that will take all hands on deck! If you are a member of the real estate community or a business owner, you often ask for referrals for business. Now we are asking you for a referral to this cause.

2010 Mid-Year Report
We’ve got a new look! Join us in celebrating the Foundation’s new logo and tagline with this special edition of Steps to Shelter. We’re including some updates from our grant recipients – it’s obvious that your gifts are making a huge impact!
Grant recipients submit mid-year reports
Overwhelmingly, while the grants have been well used, grant recipients report that the economy plagues their operations and the chances of their residents’ success. Cuts have affected services for residents in the last two years, and residents find themselves unemployed or underemployed despite the support from staff of the programs. Click here for a full update from each grant recipient.
Dan Bowden, Foundation Board Member
You might know him by his wide-brimmed hats or by his equally wide smile. Of course we mean Dan Bowden, a member of this year’s Foundation Board and the liaison to Foundation Ambassadors. An agent with F.C. Tucker for the last 19 years, Dan is serving his second year on the Foundation Board of Directors. While his work on the Foundation board keeps Dan busy, he feels that the Foundation’s mission to solve homelessness is perfect for the real estate industry and has been impressed by his visits with Foundation grant recipients. Dan says, "It is deeply moving to see lives changed for the better thanks to the efforts of the people and organizations we help support through our foundation. We, as real estate professionals, should be proud of that."
Under Dan’s thoughtful direction, the Ambassador program has taken on an ambitious mission: to have an office liaison for the Foundation in every office with more than 10 agents. The liaisons will help distribute information about upcoming Foundation events and encourage people to support the Foundation. Can you help? See the sidebar at the left for more information!

Foundation Golf Outing=Success!
Despite intense heat, 180 golfers turned out for a great day of golf and fundraising at the Foundation's 17th annual outing. A special thanks to all sponsors and players, as well as this year's dunk tank participants. The total raised was just over $26,000!
