Foundation Roots Found in Centennial Book

Legacy Goal Reached
Thanks to the efforts of more than 300 individuals and companies, the Building a Living Legacy: Centennial Project reached its goal of $500,000 in mid-January. Together with Mayor Greg Ballard and the Super Bowl Host Committee, leadership of the Foundation announced the end of fundraising for the project on January 26. The Foundation wishes to thank RE/MAX of Indiana for becoming a Diamond Sponsor to this year’s Centennial Celebration and for a recent gift to the Building a Living Legacy: Centennial campaign. While RE/MAX of Indiana has supported events in the past, this year’s commitment was a significant increase in honor of the Centennial year.
Executive Vice President Dan Breault commented, “When I was told that the goal [for Building a Living Legacy] was $500,000, I really didn’t believe it would be achieved. Compared to the boom-boom economic times of the previous 15 years, the last few years have been really tough on our members. But when the Foundation made such a bold goal of $500,000, and then relentlessly pursued it, we just felt like we wanted to be part of that charge, and partner with those who are willing to lead from their hearts in spite of challenging times. The truth is, there are always people in need, and it’s just the right thing to do to give back to the very community that provides for our livelihood.”
F.C. Tucker Launches 
Transactional Giving Program
Several area companies offer agents the opportunity to make charitable gifts directly from each transaction – more commonly called “transactional giving.” This month, F.C. Tucker joined the list of companies participating in this impactful program. To further encourage agent donations, the company has offered a match incentive: it will donate $1 for every transaction in which the agent has designated a donation. Said Foundation board member and F.C. Tucker agent Dan Bowden of the announcement, “Considering that Bud Tucker initiated a philosophy of giving back to the community in this company more than 90 years ago, this program will allow agents to continue that tradition.” Thanks to the F.C. Tucker Company for instituting this program!
