Grantees Face Emergency Need After HUD Funding Cuts

The REALTOR® Foundation is greatly disappointed in the loss of HUD funding for five local homeless service providers, including three of our grant recipients, Pathway to Recovery, Coburn Place Safe Haven, and HVAF of Indiana. Community support and response is more critical than ever. These programs face an immediate need for funding to replace more than $100,000 to each of their budgets. They serve our cities homeless with some of the greatest needs including individuals with a mental illness and addiction, victims of domestic violence, and veterans.

The REALTOR® Foundation carefully monitors the performance of these organizations as part of our due diligence process.  We assure you that they are effective programs with proven results led by dynamic and strategic leaders. These cuts are not a reflection of the performance of these programs, but the inadequacy by which our city prioritizes homeless services. Our current system has failed these organizations and the clients they serve.

As always, the REALTOR® Foundation will do all we can to support our grantees when they need us the most. That time is now. Consider making a donation to one of these agencies or directly to the REALTOR® Foundation.
