2011 Foundation Awareness Week!
During the week of September 12 – 16, REALTORS® and The REALTOR® Foundation supporters celebrated the fifth annual Foundation Awareness Week. The week was packed full of activities including ice cream visits, item collection for local homeless shelters, Feed the Fight at Flat 12 Bierwerks and a cleanup day in the Building a Living Legacy neighborhood. Together we raised more than $8,300 for central Indiana’s homeless.

2011 Golf Outing Recap
REALTOR® Foundation Golf Outing Drums Up Nearly $25,000 for Local Homeless Organizations
On July 21, 2011, the philanthropic arm of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR) raised nearly $25,000 during the REALTOR® Foundation’s 18th annual golf outing.
Hosted at Eagle Creek Golf Club, the event drew attendees from across MIBOR’s 10-county region for a day of golf to benefit local homeless service providers. The funds generated by the event will help fuel the Foundation’s next round of community grants, which provide direct support to central Indiana nonprofits that serve Hoosiers in need of transitional housing and related services. Requests for funding are accepted through August 26th at www.realtorfoundation.com. Those grants will infuse another $100,000 into deserving nonprofits that work to help people recover from homelessness. More…
April 14 Building a Living Legacy Neighborhood Clean Up Day
On April 14, 2011 Forty-four REALTOR® and real estate professionals volunteered to help clean up the Building a Living Legacy neighborhood. Nearly 90 bags of debris were collected in an effort to beautify the neighborhood and bring awareness to MIBOR’s pledge of $500,000 to lift up the emerging neighborhood on Indy’s eastside. The REALTOR® Building a Living Legacy effort will carve out approximately 10 percent (or 32 housing units) of the larger Super Bowl Housing Legacy Project. Standout Central Indiana REALTORS® Honored at Yearly Ball
On Saturday January 22nd, the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR) recognized industry and community service standouts at its annual Ball. More than 400 members and guests celebrated a new year of opportunities and honored local real estate professionals who made a positive impact on central Indiana in 2010. “We had so many members who worked to make a positive difference in our community last year. We couldn’t begin to honor them all. But these honorees represent the best of the best in central Indiana,” said Dave Goff, 2011 MIBOR president. “It’s more than just an awards banquet, though. Each year, the Ball reminds us to look for own opportunities to give back to our neighborhoods, to local nonprofits or even to our profession.
