WHAT IS AWARENESS WEEK?

First of all, we'd like to say THANK YOU to all of the participants and supporters of our 5th Annual Foundation Awareness Week. Together we raised over $8,300 to help the homeless in central Indiana!

This effort is just as the name implies: our chance to tell the MIBOR membership and everyone in Greater Indianapolis about our homeless neighbors who desperately need our help. Even the Office of the Mayor declared it "REALTOR® Foundation Awareness Week!" for our 5th Annual Awareness Week, September 12-16, 2011!

DID YOU KNOW? Sixteen percent of the 1,567 individuals experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis on any given night are children under the age of 18.

In the last five years, we've raised more than awareness for the issue of homeless. We are about raising money too! Generous participants of past Awareness Week activities have donated more than $40,000 to help make safe, affordable housing a reality for those who want to better their lives.
